Compactor

General Information:
The course is designed to train participants up to the OH&S Competency Standards required for operators of loadshifting equipment.

This type of machine is necessary for civil contracting companies along with those in the waste, recycling and land regeneration industries.

There is also a requirement for operators of this equipment to be licenced.

Who should attend:
Existing operators who may require upskilling or students seeking to enter the earthmoving industry with a goal of enhancing their employment prospects.

Number of Participants:
1-3 per machine

Pre Requisites:
At all times, students must display a mature approach with regard to not only their safety but that of their fellow students. Students must attend in appropriate work attire i.e. no joggers, thongs etc and provide proof of identification.

Qualification/Certificate:
Nationally Recognized Certificate of Competency in the Workplace - Conducted in accordance with National Guidelines For Occupational Health & Safety Competency Standards For The Operation Of Load shifting Equipment And Other Types of Specified Equipment.

Objectives of Course:
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:

• Operate the compactor to OH&S Competency Standards
• Conduct basic maintenance and service procedures
• Hazard awareness
• Supervised, hands on operation
• Practical workplace situations

Training can be conducted at your workplace, a suitable location of your choice or our training facility.

Duration:
This 2 day course is designed for students with no previous experience in the operaton of the compactor. Again, daily rates are available for those students with previous, but limited experience.
