General Information:
The course is designed to train participants up to the OH&S Competency Standards required for operators of loadshifting equipment.

This licence involves the use of a truck mounted with a hydraulically operated slewing crane. This type of crane is usually of the smaller telescopic variety.

This equipment requires that the operator manually operate the crane for the lifting of materials both on and off the truck to which the crane is mounted. This truck mounted configuration, used in the delivery of bricks, large bulk bagged goods, timbers, roofing etc, is becoming increasing popular due to the demanding OH&S safe work practices.

Who should attend:
Existing operators who may require upskilling or students seeking to enter the earthmoving industry with a goal of enhancing their employment prospects.

Number of Participants:
1-3 per machine

Pre Requisites:
At all times, students must display a mature approach with regard to not only their safety but that of their fellow students. Students must attend in appropriate work attire i.e. no joggers, thongs etc and provide proof of identification.

Qualification/Certificate:
Nationally Recognized Certificate of Competency in the Workplace - Conducted in accordance with National Guidelines For Occupational Health & Safety Competency Standards For The Operation Of Load shifting Equipment And Other Types of Specified Equipment.

This 1 day course is designed for students with no previous experience in the operaton of the Hiab Crane. Again, daily rates are available for those students with previous, but limited experience.
